December 31st 2016
How fun Elder Spencer Kimball! Did you take those photos while we are skyping? :)!! That is awesome!
So I know we just talked with you but I don't think we shared much about what we did for christmas :) So as you know Kyrk and I were at his families house for christmas
it was really fun with his parents and his older brother cody and sister kyna (kyna was there for about 3 days but left the day before christmas to spend it with David)
Kyna might be getting engaged pretty soon which is our hope because David is a really good guy. I'm going to share a little about their story because its really cute
so basically Kyna was an activities director for her singles ward and so because of it she tried to get to know everyone at the activities. So one day david who had been going
to his parents ward decided to go to the singles ward and so Kyna was very social and friendly when she met him. At the activity they talked about things they liked to do
and kyna mentioned that she liked going to disneyland and because she just moved to california she bought a years pass to disneyland. This conversation shifted to
the fact that Pokemon Go is Great for disneyland because there are Tons of poke-stops and pokemon to catch at disneyland. She then Kyna mentioned that this was great
but her phone dies too quick and so she can't use her phone for the whole time she is at disneyland. They then continued their conversation about other things. The Next time she saw
david was at another activity (so only the second time they had Ever met) and he gave her 2 Portable chargers for her phone!!! Meaning that she would be able to catch pokemon
without her phone dying :)! So that was a very bold and sweet gesture. Then they started going on a few dates and in normal conversation she mentions that her dryer was broken
and then Believe it or not He shows up to her house with a Dryer he bought for her!!! (It was second hand but still a crazy enormous and thoughtful gift especially from someone
she just barely started going on dates with) haha. So that being said he is Very sweet and thoughtful and treats her SOO well. When Kyrk and I were in california at disneyland
with Kyna we enjoyed getting to know David but he didn't have a pass to disneyland so we mainly spent our time with Kyna, but then one day we were waiting inside disneyland's
entrance for Kyna to arrive from work and then all of a sudden David shows up (IN disneyland) and we were like Oh wow David did you get a day's pass? He said "well actually I got
a YEARS pass!" and this was his way of showing Kyna he was committed which was really cute :) And then he wanted to surprise her so he handed us this Super cute handout he had made
which had a picture of a castle on it and 3 pebbles which said to throw them into snow white's well to make three wishes. And so he went and hid and when kyna showed up we walked with her
causually for a little while then when she came out we said "hey a worker gave us this and we need to go make three wishes before 6pm or the magic runs out" (and it was 5:56 and she was like
"what are we waiting for?? we need to hurry!" so we go to the well and she threw in her pebble and POOF out pops David from behind her!!! Kyna was SO surprised and happy.
Anyways it was So thoughtful and adorable that we almost thought we was proposing haha.
I might have already shared that but its just really cute :)
So back to our christmas adventure :)
The first day we arrived in washington we were in seattle airport which is 2 hours away from where they live so his parents wanted to bring us out to a fancy restaurant so we went there
but the line was like an hour long so Kyrk's dad waited in line while we went across the street to this game center and played some of the arcade games. We then went and ate
they had hundreds of things on their menu and I have such a hard time deciding so I ended up ordering enchiladas, which now I feel bad about because I didn't try something new
but oh well I don't think it really should matter. We then went down the street to this hotel which had this awesome Harry potter gingerbread houses on display made completely of candy
(I will show you some pictures). We then went home (while we were driving around down town Seattle there was traffic so kyrk and I were able to catch a lot of pokemon (it only works
from the car if you aren't driving fast) So it worked perfectly.  (just from normal traffic and distance: we got home around midnight)
The next day we drove to Sequim (pronounced Squim) to feed the animals on the hunting game reservation, it was AWESOME we drove around and they walked right up to our car, there were
Peacocks, seagulls buffalo, zebras, llama, deer, carabo and many others we were able to feed it was awesome! They walked alongside the car and even put their heads in the car so they were
literally eating (whole grain) bread right out of our hands! The buffalo had crazy longgg gross tongues so I didnt feed them but I loveeeed the deer! They had soft lips and would gently grab the food
out of our hands. The llamas were super insistent and pushy haha.
Then there were those in closed enclosers that we couldnt feed but we were pretty close to
like bears, bobcats, wolves, cougars, mountain lions, and other cool animals.
I'm sending this and pictures (the pictures are separate)
I love you!!!

Awesome!
I love being able to physically see and more importantly spiritually FEEL the atonement working in my own life, and I have seen how it has helped me to more purely testify to people that this church is true because of the times that I have felt the spirit and also seen the MIGHTY change that has taken place in my life! And I was able to testify to a less active family about how I have FELT and SEEN the healing power of the atonement in my own life! Jesus Christ is there for each and everyone of us as long as we ask for help and BELIEVE that we will receive!
Helped an elderly man in the ward move one of his beds up two flights of stairs. How many men does it take to take a bad up two flights of stairs? Five, four to move the bed, and one to fix the now broken lightbulb due to the bed.
Got to be the Angel Gabriel for our portion of the Christmas nativity scene hat our zone did! Pretty awkward, but I had to do it, take one for the zone! And the video was played for all the missionaries in the mission. About 200 missionaries in The Columbus Ohio mission.
The deer, if you were wondering (after you watch the video) is our zone's mascot, and his name is Stanley the zone lea-DEER.
Got to sing in the missionary choir (about a hundred or so missionaries) for the missionary fireside! Way fun, and I couldn't have done it without those awesome singers that were surrounding me!
Tons of missionaries that I recognized...but WAY more that I didn't know, but got to meet quite a few. A few pictures with some familiar faces!
My mom sent me a pretty funny gift for day in teen of my advent calendar for Mary! πŸ˜³πŸ˜…
Got to see my amazing family! And my sister and brother in law doing their best to make me truly at the beginning of my mission! πŸ˜…
It has been quite the crazy and fun week!
And for church on Christmas there were a few less active members of the ward that came to church! And Elder Merrill and I were able to sing in the ward choir with two wards combined.
Got to make some Christmas ornaments for those who are stuck at home for the holiday, mine was turned sideways, so we got to give all of you a front and side view of the ornaments that we made!
Love all of you! And enjoy the rest of the Christmas and holiday season break!

Everyone!
It begun to snow! And everyone can't seem to give me a break about
living in Hawaii! The first thing they say when they hear where I am
from is, 'Ah, you must be hating this sheathed huh?' Quite the
opposite actually! Love snow! ...wind on the other hand is any cold
missionaries nemesis!
We have been able to meet with a lot of less active members of the
ward and the ward mission leader was way on top of it with going
around with us, and just truly showing how much he missed them at
church, and how much he loves them, and especially the love God has
for them.
They seem quite interested in coming to church on Christmas!
A part of our missions culture is to learn from our mistakes and keep
on trying, well...I did just that and after awhile and technique
changes, and remembering form, well I did what I did in the video.

Dec 5th 2016
Christmas...what?
My new companion is Elder Mac Merrill, he is from Rexburg Idaho, and
he graduated from my same High school, Madison High School! He is a
Bobcat! It has been fun seeing all of the people that we both know.
We met this lady and she claimed to have been baptized in the church
thirty years ago...πŸ˜‘ not sure about that, get to do some digging the
next time we meet with her. The church is pretty good at never losing
one of the sheep from the fold, at least keeping track of them and
their whereabouts. People sometimes mistake missionaries for cops or
secret agents...and I guess in this case... we are πŸ˜†.
Talked to this man named Lawn...? Lon? One of those, and he said he
thought of believing in God was like believing in unicorns...and from
there he went on to explain that unicorns actually exist and that
there is proof of it...? Not sure where he was going with that
example. He was a nice guy though, but just a little confused at the
time being. There is physical proof that God exists as well, it is
something you can hold in your hands, ponder and pray about. And that
is the Book of Mormon.
When we had district meeting one time one of the concerns that we
practiced with was, 'oh, I wanted missionaries to come back but they
never did...not sure why they stopped coming' 😬😳
And I thought to myself that would be the best concern to have! If
only I had someone that had at concern, well this week, wish granted!
We talked to this lady that said 'Oh good, I wasn't sure if you all
would come back again!' Too bad there is no face palm emoji.
Another miracle that I got to experience first hand was watching
someone's heart really change within the course of a short two minute
video. The mans name is Lynn, and when we first got started talking
with him he was moaning and complaining about how big the city has
gotten since he got there decades of years ago, and that he no longer
wanted to go to church because of the traffic. He just was an old
grumpy man and he said how much he hated living in Columbus. Well, I
wasn't too fond of the negativity and complaining, I was prompted to
pull out what made me happy. The lighttheworld video, and he was in
tears by the end of it. He thanked us three times for showing that to
him, and it lead to a discussion of religion, and he asked me the
perfect question, 'why do you guys think that there is so many
churches anyway?' 😁 I couldn't have been more excited to explain to
him the restoration of the gospel, emphasizing the great apostasy, the
restoration, and the prophet Joseph Smith. I have wanted someone to
ask that question for so long! I have even prodded people on several
occasions to make them agree with, 'have you ever wondered to yourself
why there are so many churches on the earth today?' But I have just
received '...nope' as the answer, not really the sole searching
question preach my gospel was hoping I would ask from the spirits
direction. When we were walking away from Lynns house we heard him
shout thank you one more time, and when I turned around I saw him give
us a thumbs up, I was happier than Kronk when he got his thumbs up
from his own father.

A quick pic with KING BOB!

December 5th 2016

I love that you posted it on facebook! Even if that whole thing was
basically me getting fat πŸ˜‰Just kidding definitely not fat, since
being on a mission I have fluctuated about five pounds max, but since
being in the area longer than my new companion I am the one that knows
the area and he is floundering to get to know people. It is weird
looking at my area and knowing all of the potentials and less actives
in some way. And I need to impart all of that info to him before I get
transferred to a new area.
So I did gain five pounds over the thanksgiving week, but due to the
stress that I have felt I have gone back to my original weight before
I even came on a mission. Not an unhealthy amount of stress, I think
it is normal to have this happen for a new missionary trying to guide
an older and experienced missionary in an area.
Apparently my metabolism just goes crazy during transfer week πŸ˜‚ and I
just eat and eat and eat and don't even gain any weight.
My last companion elder Gardner, was losing weight (he lost 20 lbs!)
so I got thinking about it, but I don't need to lose any weight. So
you don't need to worry about that at all.
I have really enjoyed talking to people about Jesus during the
Christmas time and going about serving people that are raking their
leaves and stuff like that, you have seen the Christmas video of
lighttheworld right? Well, it is awesome!
Elder Kimball

November 30th 2016
That wasn't thanksgiving, that was just on one of the week days. On
Tuesday. But yeah, I knew I wanted to get a picture o the moment, but
I have always had a hard time with taking selfie pictures that look
good you know?
That is awesome! I'm glad you liked my hash tag one.

KelsE!
Did the pecan cheese cake pie taste good? Which of all the flavors was
your favorite this time around?
I am glad that Veronica let you hold Wayne! He looks like a cute mini
stud muffin! The place in Hawaii that we went is called Scrambled
Hills right? I was talking to one of the members about our family
traditions and I totally spaced it, and it was one of those moments
that I was trying to think of a place not in the same phase of life
that I was in right then so it seemed totally foreign to me, that is
always weird to me.
Yeah, you can't knock out the baby?! That is how I feel when I am
behind Sage, or Laramie (at least when she was younger, because like
you said, she gives some good competition nowadays 😊). Way to go
Kyrk! I bet the layup came in handy a bit. Who kept knocking out Cody
and Dad? They always are the ones that get me out.
I don't get very many opportunities to play any sports while on a
mission, if only we had tennis racquets! However my trainer did teach
me how to do this! The rainbow! I sent you a video of me doing it.
I don't know if I know Cameron or Tyrel, I saw pictures of them in the
ones that were sent to me, but I haven't really met them before...to
my knowledge at least, you know what Our family reunions are like. πŸ˜‰
More acts of service? More BLESSINGS! It is weird to me how many
people refuse us to help them with things that they obviously could
use some help with. But I have heard from recent converts or
investigators that they were really confused and not willing to have
two random dudes help them with stuff either. I guess it is just our
society.
Who were the other two teams made up of?
Picture day (...aka hours...) is hard! I don't know why. Maybe because
it feels as if a fancy is being constrained? Or it reminds us of when
we were kids and we really had a hard time focusing on anything
(including cool toys) for more than ten minutes, and it brings back
those 'old weaknesses'.
I could have gotten those kids a bunch of tickets from he DDR game!
Man! That sounds way fun! But I do my own dancing at the apartment
from time to time πŸ˜…, I have to take what I can get!
Are there pictures of Kyrk and his siblings? I need to learn their
names and faces so I am not a limp fish when I come back after two
years and possibly maybe meet em...and I also want to see the cute
baby. They are adorable, what can I say?
David Archeleta?? Wow! Get some cool concert pictures!
I guess I will have to watch winter thaw in 2018 some time πŸ˜…πŸ˜‰
I did get it before my time was up...but my time didn't start till today πŸ˜….
Elder Kimball

From kelsey
Oh nice! I am so glad you are emailing today! yes Baby Drew is adorable :) Haha you were so close it is called Scrabbling hills :) My favorite by far was the peanut butter one it was soooo good. Your icecream pie was Such a hit though! All the kids that were there chose your pie (multiple times haha) It was great.
I had a job interview today as a chiroprator's receptionist and It looked like I would have gotten the job if I was able to work the hours they needed. But I will keep looking! yesterday at class we were told about a big 4 part assignment and that night I had already turned in one of the parts! So i feel good about that :)
I almost wonder if your mission will watch part of winter thaw for christmas at like a mission conference, but maybe not.
I saw a cute video of a 2 year old receiving a present and all that was in side was a paper clip and she was like "oooooohhhh, thank you mommyyy!!!!!" hahaha soooo cute.
Here are some pictures of us. The first one (anniversary was from 5 months ago but its cute and you may not have seen it) the second was laser tag with kyrk's family it goes (kelli, Ty, david, mom, kyna, dad, kyrk, and I and in the front are tanner and shay) kelli has her baby in a sling in her jacket all cozy and she played that way haha

November 21st 2016
How you doin?
We were talking to this guy named Rafael (🈢🐒) and he was taking his
dog outside for a little...break. We were able to relate his confusion
with Religion to the prophet Jospeh smith, and how he can come to know
it for himself by taking his questions to the source, God. After
teaching him and setting up a time to come
back, we got back in the car, and then suddenly my companion starts
sniffing like a mad man, then he rapidly checks both of his shoes,
then asks me to do the same. At this point I had not smelled anything,
until I looked at my right shoe...and the wave nailed me across the
face!
The disgust was worth the contact!
Had zone conference this Thursday, and our mission president really
knows how to help you feel super motivated again! My greeny fire was
stoked once again! I kind of began to have this feeling like I was
kind of old in the mission because I have been out a whopping 4
months...then my senior companion who has been out a full 24 months
and THEN Some humbled me quite a bit when he called me and my other
companions, 'Oh you guys are still just young pups!' πŸ˜…, yep. He is
right. I am gonna miss him when he and his vast stores of knowledge
and experience leave our side, and he goes back to Idaho Falls, but we
are making the most of these last few days that he has left! Shout out
to Elder Gardner! My awesome trainer! Who helped me to learn further
truths of the gospel and how to share it with others, and he helped me
to really grow and mature, I had to give up some stuff (Ben 10 and the
omnitrix) to grow past where my old rut was keeping me at, and then I
was able to progress further with my faith in our Loving Heavenly
Father and His Son Jesus Christ!
During a Book of Mormon class we were teaching I was asked is power
packed question, 'How have your parents testimonies helped you?'
...😨Where do I start with that one? If they didn't have those
testimonies they wouldn't have raised me in this church, where would I
be? What truths would I hold on to? What true joy would I have been
able to feel? I have NO idea! Just getting to realize once more how
big of an impact my parents have been in my life to get me to this
life changing point in my life.
We also met a man from Ruwanda, and he is sincerely searching for
truth. He has found a church and likes it, but...he said he would
never turn away anyone who wants to talk about Christ, and he agreed
to begin reading the BOM, so we are excited to meet with him again,
and help him recognize, feel, and understand the spirit that will
testify of the truth of this gospel!
Elder Kimball

November 5th 2016
Dear Everybody!,
I heard this fantastic joke!
Why did the Mormon cross the street?
..............
To do baptisms for those on the other side πŸ˜‚

We just to meet with the ward mission leader from the new Ward that we
were put in (the Hilliard Ward) and they are awesome! The ward mission
leader is Br. Murdock and he is super missionary minded and he and the
Sister missionaries in the Hilliard Ward have been doing a fantastic
job about working smart and effectively and being able to more the
work along in that ward. And now with the change of ward boundaries we
get to participate and work with them as well! Br. Murdock seems to be
on top of what is going on.

We got a bit of new area and we were able to go and talk with some
people in a trailer park! That was fun, just being able to talk with
people outside, inside, and offer our help, and start talking with
them about the Gospel. A new family that we met with was the Welch's
(and they didn't give us any delicious jams or jellies), they have two
young kids, and Sis. welch is a member but her husband is a nonmember,
and she was saying that she was jealous and envious of other people
that have faith, and she wants her kids to have faith, so we were able
to teach them about how to increase their faith, and how it will bless
her kids. She said she felt silly when she prays to God, but she said
that she had really wanted to have kids but she didn't for awhile
until one day she was pregnant. And we were able to teach her that God
has answered her prayers and has blessed her with children, and show
that He is a loving Heavenly Father and that He wants us to be happy,
and since she has had children she has been more happy than ever
before and God had answered her prayers, her asking. Elder Gardner was
also able to teach her that God works with what we give Him, and how
Jesus was able to work with the 5 loaves and 2 fishes to feed the five
thousand, and how he too is able to increase what we have, no matter
how small.

So this Thursday the Assistants to the President called us and said we
were getting a new companion... a new companion! His name is Elder
Fowers and he was a roommate of mine in the MTC and he was in my
district in the MTC! We are now a trio! We will now have five
missionaries serving in one ward, the Hilliard Ward! It has definitely
been a change, but he came at the right time with all the other
changes, and it has been a party, talk about having a good time while
doing the work, he has spiced and shaked it up!

However, in the midst of all the changes and a bit of confusion and
mixing things up, there is still the Holy Ghost that still speaks to
me the same way as before, touching my heart and speaking to my mind
as I study the Gospel to learn to be a better missionary!

Is there any new information about stuff going on in your life?
It was weird seeing billboards and advertisements about movies, shows
and stuff that I had never heard about that apparently were advertised
and have already come out within the four months that I have been
gone.
The hardest one so far was when I saw this book at a library that Is
part of my favorite series! That was quite painful seeing it and not
immediately being able to check it out and read it!
I was talking with my companion and he goes off about video games, and
he says that reading books and video games are the same amount of
wasting time....and I was likeπŸ€” yeah...I don't think so. But when I
really take a step back from my love for reading, it hasn't benefitted
me any besides relating to people that have also read them, because I
have spent a ton of hours reading!
So I made a deal with him that I would play a video game with him, for
only an hour though, if he reads this book that I really liked. I
thought it was a fair trade.
Elder Kimball

November 7th
Haha that sounds like an interesting trade. When I was in high school I ultimately came to the same conclusion (that reading wasn't he;ping me) BUT in reality it does! It helps me maintain focus on assignments, it improved my test scores for SAT and ACT it helped me basically wing papers and get A's because I have a good sense of what is grammatically correct because of reading. It improved my spelling capabilities. And it is way more beneficial then using the computer or video games (you don't need to tell your companion this though). Because with reading it helps us to feel more peaceful whereas video games work us up and similarly to movies they can make us cranky. I seriously loved reading and I miss it sometimes but I am grateful for how it benefited me because now in school I can comprehend what I read out of textbooks a lot better (It would be even better if I still read for fun). But for now I guess you can read the book of mormon which is in reality the greatest story ever written. When I really sit down and read it I get so involved in it that the story comes to life! :)
So with video games though, Kyrk and I play pokemon go but whats great is we walk around to do it and therefore get exercise. I think that is great :)
Recently we have gone to a stake conference which was amazing because the talks were all from converts who had Powerful conversion stories.
I love you Elder Kimball and I hope you are doing well!!

October 31st
There are so many things that do seem so little to us but are huge to others, and vice versa, I have seen people do stuff that are huge to me that they don't even remember doing when I tell them about it.
He is a super nice guy. And he is elect! Just maybe not chosen to be baptized during my time here.
I have seen that same video! That was super cool to see them progress and get over challenges and concerns like tattoos and things like that.

"Hello everybody!
Dave! Pay attention please!"-Gru

On Saturday the Hayden Run Ward had an awesome trunk r treat! And it was awesome seeing all of the costumes be characters from Star Wars and Disney movies! How great is that! I was lucky enough to get a picture of two of the primary kids dressed up as Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon 2! And Ryan came with his nephew to go and get candy! They seemed to have had a good time!

We first heard about the changes last Sunday, on the 23rd, and we instantly guessed that we would be losing the area of our two most progressing investigators, a solid part member family, lots of awesome ward members (including the Bishop, elders quorum president, and relief society president). The change was obvious, and the results eminent. On this Sunday, yesterday, the changes were announced during sacrament meeting and we were indeed losing the area that we had guessed. How is this so, if we only cover one ward and even the Bishop was in the area being moved to another ward? The answer became clear, the ward that I was in for the past 3 months,...was being dissolved into other wards. I honestly was mildly disappointed! My awesome ward is going bye bye! However,...once the Stake President asked for everyone's sustaining vote for the changes, and the vote was unanimous including my own, I instantly had less qualms about the changes,...because I had shown by my own hand that I was in agreeable with those in authority who had made the decision. It was cool to feel that change of my own mentality towards it, with such an instant switch, because of my faith and trust in the leaders.
However, our investigator Ryan Potts who truly was or seemed to be an elect, did not have the same trust in the leaders that we had. When the changes were made and told to him, he for some reason did a 180 flip and decided to no longer meet with us. Cold turkey indeed!
I guess I needed some humbling πŸ˜Š. Still honestly don't know why this affected him so greatly, but it did! πŸ˜… I'm sorry if the emojis are taking away from the seriousness of what has happened. All I know is that this was a choice made from his agency, and it will not affect my testimony or drive to keep going!

My companion has done it again! He gave me some more information to dwell on that really connected with me and put some more skip in my step. It is called the 'Ricciardi Letter'? One main thing I found really interesting and that I got to apply to my mission now and my own perspective on the work was what Elder Ricciardi had taught his trainee, 'why am I so happy when we get rejected? Because I can then better focus my time and efforts on finding the elect!' And as I saw the rejection not as a stumbling block but as a stepping stone, right after I got two doors closed in my face instantly it made me quite happy, πŸ˜Šstill not sure why it was great, but it was cool just having a different perspective on it. Just knowing that I then can move to others that are His elect and choice people!

Dear Spencer

That really is tough, I had similar thoughts when our ward was dissolved because I was actually pulled over into the new ward with my companion and some people saw this as diserting them and the ward. But in reality the Lord is in charge and He Has a plan. Something that helped me on my mission is knowing that "The Lord's plan can't be thwarted". So although we may not see the benefits of something that has happened that we may see them in the long run. Also him going south might not be permanent, also it is ultimately his agency coming into play. But never give up on him!! I know someone from my mission (a few people actually) that I am still praying will one day join the Gospel and in reality they get closer and closer to the truth each day :) There was a very moving message (from the training videos) about a man whose daughter was baptized 16 years after he was. And he said "don't ever give up on an investigator for even a second" because he didn't give up and she finally was baptized. It is hard for us to see the light at the end of the tunnel sometimes but that doesn't mean it isn't there :)

October 31st
Elder Kimball I sure love you and I love hearing your personality shine forth in your messages you really are so caring, sweet, humble, fun, and awesome. I love how you always think I'm funny and get my kind of humor. On my mission it was kind of hard to not have people think I was super funny and kind haha (I mean they liked me but its different then being with you and your sweetness). I really do think Kyrk is similar to you (mixture of you dad and cody in a way haha). And I think that is what attracted me to him and his fun personality so much :)
Funniest thing so on saturday kyrk and I went over to celebrate sheridan's birthday with the family and we were talking to Laramie and she was saying how she wants to find a guy Just Like You and kyrk was like okay lets say you and spencer weren't related in any way you would basically wanted to marry him? And she was like "yes! :)" haha it was so funny because during his question she was already nodding to confirm that she totally would and already knew what the question would be haha. I can't do the story justice but it was really hilarious.

btw you got an email from "familysearch.org" saying there is someone for you to do ordinances for "Clarence Elmer Taylor" and it asked you to sign in and reserve it. I don't know if you are allowed to use family search but I figure you do go to the temple on your mission, so just to let you know.

Her email is Jasminenporter@gmail.com (don't forget the extra "n" I almost over looked it)

I love you! I will write more I just want you to get her email :)

Yes it is, I believe that you got the message of it, and yes it is for spencercowleykimball@gmail.com
I just know that she is leaving on a mission soon and I don't want to lose contact, and if she leaves on her mission before I do I won't get her mission email address.

I love hearing about your mission experiences. And yes, I did wind up driving a young guy away from being baptized because the mom thought we were being too pushy...she has had some hard times so hopefully late she will get around to letting her son be taught again and for herself coming back to church, I don't think she is willing to start living the commandments again yet.

I am so glad that a Dad got the job in Rexburg, getting to see you and getting to know who a Kyrk is was such a blessing and joy in my life. Every time that both of you came over, everyone was super happy! And you brought even more laughter into our home! It was such an absolute pleasure, you have touched me in more ways that I even know, because growing up with an awesome older sister like you that cared about me, really did help me grow as a person to also love and care about others. And I can't express my thanks enough for your influence in my life!
I got your letter! I am still writing one back, but it may be a few days until you get itπŸ˜….

How do you feel like you have come to be who you are? How did you come to accept and be confident in yourself? I would love to hear your answers to these questions, so I too can become confident in myself but also see how I can become better through Christ and more confident in His atonement to change me!

Dear Kelsey,
I love hearing about how you and Kyrk strengthen and lift each other
up and support each other in ward callings! I love the fact that you
both are so strong in the Gospel and because you are together, and
truly together, you have become a titanic force for good that will
TRULY never sink!
There will be little icebergs I'm sure, but through Christ's
atonement, love, and your own dedication and devotion to each other
that you will overcome even the toughest challenges!
You are both dedicated to fulfilling and magnifying your own callings
even if you need to go solo!

There is this awesome Mormon Message called, 'you never know the good
you do' and if you haven't seen it before Watch it! It is about ten
minutes log but I feel like you would really like it!

We figured they could just eat it whenever they wanted because we weren't sure if someone was already bringing them dinner. But Kyrk brought it to them (on his way to home teach) and they seemed really happy about it. They asked how we knew about her giving birth since they didn't announce it even haha (but the Relief society president wrote on our Relief society facebook page asking a few people to bring them dinner so thats how I knew) but it was fun to help even without being asked. :)

Ollo?
I believe it's hello sir.
Oh, Hello?
Megamind. This quote felt appropriate at the time.

How are all of you doing?!?
We just had a zone activity, my first one in the mission, and we got to play volleyball! And diving is the best!...stretching is very beneficial though, ...if done before the constant dives and near splits πŸ˜‚...😨.
My week started off with meeting Ryan Potts.
This man named Ryan Potts is the one that I believe will be the first person that I will help enter the covenant of baptism. He asked me to baptize him! So if everything goes well, it will happen on November 12th! Cross my fingers! There is a ward boundary that is happening and he might actually be split to a different ward...sad day...big time. However if he stays then he would be the first convert baptism in this ward for the whole year! So that would be really nice for all of the ward members to have him join the ranks in a His royal army in the Hayden Run ward. He is super intelligent, he graduated high school when he was 15! He has a very interesting perspective and outlook on life and everything and everyone... but he has been trying to find truth, and he said he has tried out multiple churches but that they had never 'fit' right, but then we knocked on his door and he had never heard of us but had seen us around and he said that we had a certain glow to us, and a purpose to our walk! He described me as the radical one, and my companion as the logical one... I'm pretty sure that was a compliment? Now that he has been to church and everyone has met him and seen how very dedicated he is to being baptized and learning more they have all just really 'fallen for him' I guess you could say. After the ward mission leader had met him (he is a convert himself) I asked him 'so, what do you think?' And he said, "He's perfect!".
The crazy thing is, I really didn't do anything but knock on his door, he basically just felt the spirit and was like, Yep! This is where I am supposed to be. It is really cool seeing how very much God has done to prepare Ryan to accept the gospel!
I think I have gotten over a bit of the awkwardness at the beginning of the mission in Ohio, I realized or have come to actually show that I do care, and I know that is what helps people to not close the door on you instantly, just show that you care and you are there to help them accept the gospel, because if they accept the gospel then they are accepting Christ's help! Because if I give a rote presentation of things that seem practiced or rehearsed then they either close the door instantly...or they close their heart to what you are saying, because if they see that you have no heart in it, then they will give no opening to their heart. The tricky part is giving the right amount of 'heart', because I have scared off a few people because of how...overly excited I was to be on their door.

October 19th 2016Hello everyone! This week is my final week of official training, and my companion decided to finish off a companion study with a way to teach especially
designed for my understanding! During his personal study he was
thinking about how he could best teach me πŸ’¦ πŸŒ πŸ”₯πŸŒͺand these four
elements came to mind, and he then put together what we like to call,
LESSON BENDING!
Using Avatar the Last Airbender elements of water, earth, fire, Air he
designed a few ways to use each element in the forming/bending a
lesson. He said a lesson needs to flow like water, but it needs to
have a basic foundation of specific things that we should definitely
include in each visit, and we need the fire of the spirit to be with
us, and each lesson needs to have the air of simplicity. So to be an
effective lesson bender, you need to be the avatar, to make sure to
include each element of teaching so that your investigator is sure to
build faith in Christ as long as their hearts are open to receive.
We also were able to have the best type of missionary contact ever. My
companion and I had recently been trying to meet with a less active
member of the ward, and she worked at a gas station, so we decided to
stop by and see how she was doing. At the time we arrived she was
standing behind a variety of flavors...of ice cream. When we arrived
she smiled and called out to us 'you here to get some ice cream?'. We
were able to get those two birds with that stone. Even though one of
the birds was a surprise bonus.
As I studied for an investigator (a 14 year old boy named Caleb
Hughes) who asked me the question how can I physically know for myself
that God is there? And as I searched the preach my gospel sections
about prayer and the spirit, I truly felt the spirit stronger than
ever before, and any doubt has evaporated because of that strong
testimony of the spirit, and I was just amazed by the strength of it
and complete feeling of GOOD! That is the best way to describe the
feeling. Just soooo good! And from this I was able to testify so
purely that I knew that God is good, and He truly loves me, and that
He loves him (Caleb Hughes). And I wanted him to feel it to. I love
this gospel! (And going to quote Nacho Libre 'it's the BEST!'.) God
gave us the Holy Ghost as a gift, and He knows how to give His
children the best gift.

Hey elder Kimball I wanted to let you know that I messaged Kai's family and josh's and am waiting for their reply to give you their emails.
So today has been a great day and I feel that I am doing well in my calling, I feel needed and appreciated and that is a great feeling.
So right now Im waiting for potatoes to cook and hoping they are cooked enough so that they are ready for a linger longer for the Young single adult ward. Kyrk is really wise when it comes to cooking I didn't know our oven could use a delayed timer (meaning we went to church and set the oven so it would turn on at 10:45 and it worked :) he also said we might not want to put them on pans in the oven (to put them wrapped straight into the oven) but I thought the pans would help (but turns out they prevent the potatoes from being fully cooked ahh. So im now just waiting and hoping that they warm up enough in time.
well I love you! I hope you are doing well!

Kelsey!
Thank you so much for putting my email address on facebook! Since you have done so two other people have written to me thanks to you putting it out there! And it was sooo awesome to hear from them! One was from Rexburg, and another is a super good friend from St. George that I haven't been able to talk to in awhile!
It is weird because a lot of the people I communicate with are either in college or on a mission themselves! And I was thinking about in two years, how my friends would be getting married and we would all start to have our own families! Was that cool to be a part of, seeing all of your friends get married?
Elder Kimball

Hey Kelsey, I know you could help me out with somethings. I ask a bunch of people for information and then get back to me on what it is but no one does. But I know you are good at being able to find these sorts of things out and be able to email me back.
I have been told that Sage has an email address, but I still have yet to be told what the address is?
And I don't want to lose contact with Kai Phung and Josh Aughenbaugh, so if you could find out what their missionary emails are or will be that would be (not life saving but) #friend saving!

Hey bud! Elder bud kimball :)
So I think that is a great idea, also it is a very enjoyable way to experience college life. Sheridan is at home right now but she got a job and next semester she is moving out so that seems to work for her (btw mom and dad now have 3 cars!) they are saying the 3rd one is a family car/jeep that is white but basically sheridan is the only one that really is able to use it but I think she will move out next semester and apparently get a car for herself so that is crazy. So I don't know which is better with living at home for a semester and then college or what but I kind of did it with coming back from my mission since I went to school at byuh and lived at home for a semester. I think for one semester it might be nice because then you get to be with those that you haven't been with so long as you adjust. But of course we would support you either way. Also if you work really hard your freshman year (and make sure to pick teachers that you have looked up and are good) then you should be able to have scholarships especially with dad's tuition wavers. Seriously I have been Soo blessed thanks to scholarships and tuition waivers partly im sure because I served a mission and I think you will be too! It would be great for you to start school as soon as you got back though :) (hopefully you will have at least a week break though haha)

Part 2
I just sent that off in case I was missing your email time and wanted you to get it before it was too late. Well anyways I will tell you a secret only Kyrk and I know so don't share this with anyone here haha. So basically part of the reason I was hormonal was because I think I was pregnant. Because I was tracking my period through an app on kyrk's phone and I missed my period by 10 days which is SUPER late and I've never missed one like that, also I had lots of pregnancy symptoms like the hormones (being emotional) being nauseous and other details. But so anyways we were hopeful and excited and I am pretty sure I Was pregnant but then yesterday before church my period started. I was of course bummed but its common for people with their first pregnancy's to have early miscarriages. I don't know if for sure it was but I kind of think it was. I think because my body wasn't able to handle it or something. But if anything it was only for 2-3 weeks and everything but it does show that we will probably be able to get pregnant without too much trouble. Anyways I thought I would tell you that, we would have waited a few months before telling anyone we were pregnant because in the super early stages like that its not as sure that the pregnancy will go through so its better to be on the safe side. I think Cody and veronica may have had a similar situation because they sent dad a "grandpa's t-shirt" but later said they were joking. But anyways I think ultimately we won't have problems getting pregnant (hopefully) but now it will be at least 2 more months probably if not more. But I think timing now would be good for us because I will be done with school in around 6 months :) We were thinking of doing our masters in minnesota but now we are thinking to do it in Utah :)! Which would be awesome. Basically Kyrk needs to get in and get scholarships and that will kind of help us decide on where we will go. he is taking the GRE (similar to ACT or SAT except Harder and for a masters program) and he is doing it in a month. He did a practice test and got a 298 when the average is about a 302 and he needs a 300 for University state of utah. So he will keep doing his best and studying but it is in the Lord's hands.
Speaking of what is in the Lord's hands is this presidential election!! We are voting for a 3rd party named Evan McMullin (you probably won't want to talk politics there but basically we aren't for Trump or Hillary Clinton)
He has good morals we think
So this last week I was the lead teacher in the Preschool (so I created the lesson plan and was in charge of all the activities) it went pretty well, but there is always so much to do with that haha. But now I am needing to already start on my next lesson plan and look for internships.
Also we went down to Utah to see Drew Wayne Kimball :) He is seriouslyyy adorable especially in person and a Superr good baby. I got to sit next to him in the car when we went to the store which was really fun he is super soft and cute. I basically only got to hold him for like 2 seconds though because mom was worried but oh well I will have my own baby one day and I will hold them for millions of seconds haha.
Anyways I hope you are doing well and that is my main updates, I started putting your emails on a blog to save them.
Oh wow the other day gmail told me my storage was full so I deleted some things off google drive (old folders) and I permenately deleted a social studies folder and then a few hours later my friend amber blair was like, "heyyy I saw you permanently deleted that, is there any way to get it back?" I felt sooo bad because I forgot we made the folder together but miracle of miracles I was able to search up her name from my google drive and find all the documents she made (somehow) so it was a miracle.
Also Kyrk and I started to watch Lost :) He had never seen it before.
Hey you just replied!! So I am going to send this! Love you!

Elder Kimball that is sounding so awesome!
So what is awesome is you never know what seeds that you plant will later trhive so keep a Really good record of people you visit in the area book! I have had missionaries (after my mission) contact me and tell me that they found people thanks to the record that I kept. Also I would strongly encourage you to write down their full addresses and information in your planners and keep them after your mission. Have you seen how you can put pictures on your planners and then put contact paper on it to keep them intact? (So that sweat from your hands walking all day doesn't destroy them too much). Or do you drive in cars mainly? Sorry about the rotten tomato! That is a bummer, but it was great that you were helping. So Kyrk and I got me a new phone, basically his mom gave me her old iphone which is wayy better than my phone (but pokemon go is pretty slow on it) and I need it to be on speaker phone for people to hear me haha. Besides that it works great.
So this last few weeks I was given a job at a day care/preschool on MWF because I don't have school then but found out that my group members for my preschool lab T/TH needed me to set up MW at 5pmwhich would have been right during when I would work and so it didn't really work out. My professor even called me in because she felt like the lead teacher and I were having issues (which we kinda were because I told her about the job and how I couldn't set up at 5 and wanted a different time but she wasn't really working with me to find out a different time) long story short she called us both in and questioned/interrogated me and then I of course felt like I was being seen as a bad student so I started crying and then my teacher was being Super sweet and willing to help me but my then I was hyperventilating (pretty embarrassing but I couldn't stop) and she was amazing saying that I am a good student and that we could work it out and I could keep the job and things but I basically was overwhelmed and it was tough, but she was sweet trying to calm me down and talk to me about other things haha and I told her it was probably hormones and she said even if it was she was sorry that I was overwhelmed and her eyes were even red so that was sweet of her. Well anyways we ended it and she said a prayer and offered to hug me (which I was tempted but didn't want to cry again so I said no haha) then I left.
Well I talked to Kyrk when he came home and he is amazing and wonderfully and let me know I didn't have to have the job and that he felt that my job was going to school (plus we got tuition waiver for my classes from dad then fafsa gave us a grant and so we basically were paid to come to school, and kyrk just got 1,000 more for scholarships, I would have gotten 980 but I am only taking 7 credits and need to take 14 for it to count)
I love you I am sending more but this is part 1

I have come to remember Christ... again. In remembering His atonement
for me a lot of the things that would have been difficult to handle or
to stay positive about, have become lighter and less of a weight on my
shoulders.
My companion helped me realize that I need to have Christ and His
atonement come to life IN MY life, that when I see that I am able to
become better through the atonement that is when I can better testify
of its affect on me personally, and how I know it can then bless,
strengthen and motivate others as well.
It is quite easy to have a gospel related conversation if they ever
ask about who we are and what we are doing, the only hard part is
finding people that actually ask as those questions and are at least
halfway interested in hearing the answer. But we were able to talk
with some people at a housing complex and after talking with them
about THEM, then they politely asked about us. And then BOOM, gospel
related discussion emerges!
My companion and I were talking to this lady that was saying that she
had lost belief in her faith of Catholicism, and she said that she is
now looking for truth, but she says she doesn't believe anyone that
says that they know something to be true. And it was so sad for me to
see that she is looking for truth but when I testified that I knew it
to be true, that that is when she didn't believe me. So when here we
are bringing the truth she has been searching for she closed her heart
from feeling the spirit testify to her.
We were giving service to a school garden b helping them harvest
tomatoes because they were being infected and slowly spreading the
disease to other tomatoes, so they wanted them all harvested but just
throw the bad ones on the ground. Well we then threw the bad ones into
a pile and I had the brilliant idea of catching them and putting them
into the pile instead of them just being thrown into the pile from
afar. After a few catches I decided to try and catch one under my leg,
but when I brought my leg up to do so, the tomato and my leg made
constant and splat! I get sprayed by rotten tomato...sad day.
We met this nice old lady that said she didn't have time to talk, but
we asked her what was going on in her life, and she began to tell us
how crazy it was in her life, and then she asked, 'so what is it that
you guys actually do? Or believe?' And we were both like, 'great
question!' And went into the message of the restoration from there.
After we taught her the restoration she was like, "And here I was
saying I didn't have time, but then God was like, 'oh yes you do!',
here I was almost letting you guys just walk on by!" And she also
said, "Next time you guys come over, I'll have my daughters and their
kids come listen too", I'm just there smiling like, "Great!😊"

October 3rd 2016
This week was absolutely filled with inspiration, revelation, and more
revelation. After eighteen years I have never had conference go by
this fast, being able to listen intentOh and prayerfully for guidance
and direction. And learning the answers to all of my questions that I
had previously thought of to receive answers to throughout the
conference. And within the first two talks I felt like both of my
talks were answered! But I continued to learn more and more ways to
serve others and be better in all aspects of life! Including being a
better home teacher (Elder Holland touched us all! Priesthood
session), son to my parents, and missionary (and how to work with and
receive help from the members).
I also threw a milk gallon at my companion....on accident. I was heavy
laden with groceries and I tried to throw him the keys...but I had the
milk in that hand as well...yeah...that was quite the mistake. He was
hurriedly putting his pants in the wash after the wave of milk nailed
his left leg...no one had a camera. But I was QUITE embarrassed.
At Taco Bell this week my companion and I got the unique opportunity
to teach the gospel there. One guy next to us asked if we were Mormon,
....thirty minutes later we got his address and the best time to catch
him at home, when we asked if he had any questions he said he didn't
have any, but then the lady across the room said she had one...
😊Awesome, I would love to hear it. And the conversation went from
there.
We were also able to help an investigator move, the same one that I
talked about previously. He had received notice from his landlord that
he would need to move within ninety days, well he didn't want to pay
rent for two more months, so he decided to be moved within thirty
days. That was a humbling experience for him, but he didn't seem to
understand that this was a humbling experience for him to accept the
restored gospel!
That's all folks!

Ahh you enjoy throwing people off about that. I always say, 'I am trying to lose thirty pounds' and everyone does this double take, I think I even said it to you and KyrkπŸ˜‚, I made my mission president get kind of worried for me! πŸ˜¨ that was his facial expression when I said it on the first day while we were all at the mission home.
And I am very happy and excited to receive more photos, and hear about little things, because I am definitely super happy when I et to hear any and all things about my families lives!
I am very grateful for what you have sent me already, but feel free to send photos throughout the week, having an iPad makes it very handy for receiving pictures at any time throughout the week!πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜€
Thank you mi muy Bonita hermana!
Elder Kimball

Hello everybody!
I just wanted to share a few experiences that I was able to have with
some people and what they have come to believe in their walks of life!
First of all we tracked into this lady that believes in the Indian
ways, and so we immediately thought 'let us teach her about her
people!', so we began teaching her about the Book of Mormon and how
she is connected to it (she says she is half Cherokee and half Irish
but she holds strong to her Cherokee blood). So we began talking about
Lehis family crossing the sea to the Americas and beginning to live
there, and how they began to multiply and how their story was written
down, and how they became to be the Native Americans. She said, 'No,
we were here before the white man. We can go back and forth all day,
but we were here before the white man.' And I said, 'definitely, we
totally agree with you, this was way before the white man came, it was
before Christ came'. After thirty minutes we realized that she had no
idea about the concept of time or the difficulties with keeping an
oral history. We talked to her about how over time some things in her
oral history were just bound to change but she said, 'No, everything
is exactLay the same, we have kept a perfect history by dances and
telling the stories.' And then when we were about to leave she said,
'I remember this one story...about this guy...he wasn't Columbus...but
maybe he was a Mormon...but I don't remember everything that happened,
but that he came and taught my people his beliefs...but I don't
remember it all'...you come to love people and how they believe what
they believe.
We also talked with this guy that said he was an atheist. We got
talking about the creation and evolution and how sometimes we don't
know all the answers and that it may be confusing. But then he said,
'no it makes sense and in genesis it talks about Adam and Eve
partaking of the fruit and that is probably where the monkeys evolved
to a higher knowledge and became human,...hmmm, I am arguing against
my own belief...but I don't believe in the creation!' It is just
interesting seeing that even when the spirit teaches them, they shrug
it off and still try to believe that there is no God.
I won't even get started about the trinity and how many people trip
themselves up when they try to explain that concept to us. But our God
as missionaries is to teach simply and powerfully to give the spirit a
chance to testify to them, and if they don't accept then that is their
agency. I love this people here in Ohio, even if they believe crazy
things but then look at us funny when we talk about Joseph Smiths
first vision.

Hey Elder Kimball! So I saw this on my facebook page from about 4 years ago.
"So I have been struggling to find a job and I really didn't know why I wasn't getting hired then my little brother Spencer said "They probably looked you up on Facebook and saw how many guys you go on dates with and thought you would be too busy too work"

Haha you have always been so sweet! I sure love you! So I promised you pictures of your Nephew!!
His name is Drew Wayne Kimball :) So what happened is that Veronica went into labor but it was taking a lot longer than expected and they were getting scared because Drew's umbilical cord was around his neck 2xs. So basically she had a C section (which is always rough) but she is okay and baby Drew is doing well :) So things are going well. Mom went to her birth and everything. Cody gave Veronica a blessing which is really good. :)
So I wrote you a letter and will be sending it hopefully tomorrow sometime.
I sure love you and I am going to send more pictures :)

I have grown up hearing about, talking about, and watching the 'Best
Two Years'. It has become more and more evident why so many people say
that these are the best two years. I mean spending all of your time
focused on others and not thinking about yourself, thinking about how
you can better bring people closer to Christ! How absolutely fantastic
is that! Like the best kind of fantastic! And doing all we possibly
can to learn how to better teach and more importantly have the spirit
to be with us at all times. Because it is really how everyone says it
is, without the spirit you will not accomplish anything.
Since I have been in the Hayden Run area of the Great Ohio Columbus
mission ( as they are all very fond of calling it) the number of
people that we are able to meet and talk with has increased.
I am absolutely amazed how you can go anywhere in this world and you
can meet people and just come to love them so much in so little amount
of time. And what has helped me develop these relationships so quickly
is Christ and His love and compassion that He has for me and for
everyone, and as a missionary we are able to feel that love instantly
for those we meet and teach.
I have been meeting with a man named Jeffrey, and we have been to his
home twice a week for the last seven weeks and over that time we have
really bonded with one another. And I have come to love this man, but
it saddens me because he does not ever keep the commitments that we
give him ever. So he has decided to not progress or follow the counsel
and teachings that we have given him, and he never comes to church
even though he has told us that he would come. And in my heart I want
him to feel the joy, peace, love, and receive the blessings that God
has in store for him. But he does not follow what Christ teaches and
he is not able to receive and feel all of these wonderful things.
But it is so wonderful when someone does keep a commitment and they
show their willingness to follow Chirst. And that is where the joy
comes from, seeing others progress in their journey to follow Christ.
I just wanted to start off the weekly weeklies with some things that I
have learned in the last two months.
I also got a new companion named Elder Gardner, he came during the
beginning of the second week of my second transfer, and we have really
hit it off, and I know that we can accomplish great things in this
companionship with the spirit being our guide!

Dear Mom,
I LOVE you! And I miss your cooking very much! I get to "make" my
own meals...aka cereal and pb and j and those good stuff. I realize
NOW how much I have taken advantage of the charity that emanates from
your heart and soul. You have been sooo good to me and I want to say
thank you! What is weird about leaving the home though is that I have
never had such a desire to have a clean apartment, to play the piano
for hours on end, and to sing with choirs!? I mean that doesn't even
sound like me! Since I have been out in the field/mission I have sung
in three choirs, and been able to play the piano for sacrament and
other opportunities a few times! And it has been awesome!
I am currently in Ohio, and my companion is Elder Young!... Except
not the one that we met at the temple right before the MTC, he is a
different Young. When we arrived in Ohio (me and all the other newbies
that were serving in the Ohio Columbus mission there was 26 of us!) we
all got to meet the Pres. For about 2 seconds before it was the next
missionaries turn. We had a big meal and the next day we went out
tracking for a bit to just get a little taste of it, and that was
interesting. I am now in a town called Hilliard Ohio. And there a lot
of interesting people here, it is weird having people not who us
missionaries are but it seems that they all think that they know who
we are so they aren't as interested as I was hoping. We have found a
few good and nice people here in the area.
At church there was a lot of new faces, but there just wasn't very
many people in the congregation, so I hope in the 12 or more weeks I
will be able to be friends with them before I leave the area. I am
used to starting all over again but in all the other times that I have
done it I have had a year or more, I went from having 14 years
somewhere, to two, to one, and now to 12 weeks! My life has really
been one long preparation to meet people quickly and effectively.
You'll be glad to hear (hopefully) that I have already become my old
awkward self around pretty daughters of God, when my companion and I
knocked on this door we were hoping to meet a man there, then this
young women answers the door and I immediately go "uhhhhh....." And
then turn to my companion...yeah, that was weird. But other than that
area of life I have been progressing in spirit and learning of Christ.

                Love, Elder Kimball!

Dear Mom,
So we are moving?? Do we actually have a house now? And what are the
Bear tooth mountains? I have never heard of those before? And so what
do you mean go to the Henry's Fork ward for the last time? Wow...a lot
happened in the last week. I guess what was slowing down buying a
house was me! πŸ˜€πŸ˜‰
I have finally been led to find a few people that are kind to
missionaries and are actually willing to listen to what we have to
say. And I might have kind of freaked the guy out by how happy I was
when he asked his first question to us!!! Because for the week
previous we hadn't been able to really answer anyone's questions
because no one really wanted to talk to us. So when he began asking
his question my smile grew and grew! And my heart swelled with joy!
Do you know the Ludlo's? Because in the MTC I met a Josh Ludlo that
apparently knows Kelsey and our family and close friends in Laie
because he lived there with his family, I taught him as one of my
investigators and he turned out to be a member ( at the MTC they pay
people to pretend to be investigators...yeah that was a little devious
and under- handed in my opinion..lack of trust for how that all
works).
Cody sent me a Captain America action figure with my face on it!
What! So cool!
Oh and if we are actually moving ("you see the quotation marks
that I am making with my claw like hands...it means I don't believe
you! " except that I do) can I get our new address for when I will be
sending you more letters.
I think I have finally hit that stage in a boy's life where I am
just hungry all the time and I can just eat and eat....now that I am
18 and on a mission and don't have your amazing cooking and meals
everyday!!! Bad timing on my body's part for sure.
Love you so much! Elder Kimball

 My dear Elder Kimball,

Thank you for the address from your letter which we will send our letters to, but so sorry for the lag in you getting our letters. They will catch up to you soon.)

She wanted to tell him that they needed to take a step back (since they were really talking marriage and had never dated.) He has feelings for Angie on a mission now and I think it is great for both of them to be at this level of the pyramid which they skipped no matter what the end result is if they end up together or not.

and im sorry but my camera isnt charged so i will send pictures next week. but we had interviews with president and he went with my two companions first and said that theres a companionship who needs a sister and if they would be willing to go so then when he got to me and sarted to explain the situation i said no i dont want to go. he kind of laughed and said let me finish explaing the situation hermana enamorado twisted her ankle and she needs to recover for a week but i need her companion to work but i dont want to send her home because shes super good. so i was like oh its just for a week,,,,, send me im ready when do you want me to go. jaja i later looked back on it and thought about peter when christ tried to wash his feet he rebeled and said no and then christ told him that if he didnt let him wash peters feet he wouldnt have a part with christ so than peter takes the other extreme and says ok dont just wash my feet but my hands and head as well. jajaj so president told me id leave the very next day in the morning and so now im finishing up my week of being here in panorama my 7th area and 1oth and 11th companions haha right now i technically have 3 areas to think about. so its pretty cool. but seriously i absolutly love my new companions here they have so much love its like the movies how there always saying no its yours you eat no how can i help you or i dont even know what but i was kind of like wow this is amazing i thought it was fake but its for real. and now im writing to you guys in the same chapel that where is started my mission so right now im super close to my first area and i want to go visit my convert and the members but i dont think ill be able to maybe later on. oh so right now from what ive heard the missionarys will now be in the mtc for 3 weeks latinos and 8 weeks americans so that means this next change will only be for 5 weeks, but than back to normal again. but that makes my leaving date earlier for the 19 of april. so i talked with president and asked him if there was some way i could stay until the 29th to finish my 18 months exactly and he told me that i couldnt but maybe i can leave with missionaries there or something until the 29th to finish 18 months on my mission exactly haha.

Today was the highlight of our week! I keep coming to grips with not knowing where we are going to live June 1st, but the reason why I have to keep coming to grips with it is because I ALSO keep coming to un-grips with it.
Today, we woke up to another beautiful white morning. I remember loving that as a girl, and I still love it. it is so peaceful and serene. Nothing is moving. It is so calm.
Spencer and dad drove out to our chapel (6 miles away nevermind you pass 3 chapels on the way) to shovel snow.
then we went to the BYUI 34th ward (singles ward) which Kelsey and Kyrk have just been called to serve in (Kyrk as the clerk and Kelsey as the RS mentor). We really enjoyed it and loved being close enough to be apart of it.
Then we went to the ward for the house we will walk through on Tuesday. It is a house in town and right next to the church. I will miss the country, but I know I feel peace about this house. It is always hard to leave a place, but we have loved every place we have been. All of the kids came out of their meetings really excited and thumbs up about moving to it.
Spencer told you about his snowboarding. I recorded him telling Kelsey and Kyrk today at dinner. When he told us, he have us the 30 minute animated version. I loved every second of it. This took 6 minutes. i don't know if it is too big to send. I will try to send it to you. You will love it!
The rest of the week was getting back to routine, taking down Christmas, and starting to get back in shape. Dad and I both got our driver's licenses and had to give up our Hawaii driver's licenses. I realized I wrote my new year's resolution on my drivers license after I told them how much I weigh.
We will walk through the new house on Tuesday.
We have dentist appointments coming up this week.
Sage was upset because I stopped her scripture story at a cliff hanger in the middle of a sentence. She went to bed crying because "that is just unacceptable!!!" When I came back to talk it through with her, she was asleep". I did feel bad. What kind of a mother leaves her daughter hanging like that.
We are excited to have Cody and Veronica come this weekend. When we moved here, I didn't feel a strong confirmation that it was right, but EVERY TIME k&k COME OR c&v come, I totally know it was right!
Love you,
 Have a great week.
Spencer has started preparing for his mission, Each Sunday we have a mission moment. So, can you send us experiences from your mission that we can include to prepare him. We will be working through the Preach My Gospel manual. Today he taught the lesson on free agency and did a fantastic job.
Love you,
Mom

Just as a thought: April 18th is when a new semester of school starts
so pray about it, but if your president was planning on april 19th maybe its for a reason
because you could miss a week of school then start school that way you arent laying around doing nothing for 3 months and losing all the momentum you had in your mission
But its between you, the Lord and your mission president
The transfers are normal and its still a complete full time mission even if the transfer doesnt fall perfectly.
Did you hear Cody and Veronica's news?
